Cafes, Tearooms & Snack Bars around Glasgow

The Pavilion Tearoom

231 Crow Rd, Glasgow G11 7PZ, UK – 0141 334 7753

A lovely place to eat, run by two of my favourite Glasgow ladies. Good food menu and a lovely place to sit with a cup of tea. When I am back in the UK, I try to make a point of coming here at some point. Eggs Benedict was particularly good, but that goes for just about everything they offer.

Very pleasant tearoom, made to feel very welcome. Invited to a seat with a menu plus bottle of water. Not rushed for choice food and drinks spot on.

The Tea Garden

9 Gardner St, Glasgow G11 5NR, UK – 0141 339 9174

Been going regularly for many years. Good food (best lentil soup I've tasted!), good value for money and great friendly service. Can't recommend enough.

Great wee place for meals, snacks or just a cuppa. Kirstie brilliant, great customer interaction & always remembersvious orders. Meter parking outside.

Caffรจ Nero

147, Titanium House Braehead Shopping Centre, King's Inch Rd, Glasgow G51 4BN, UK – 0141 885 0582

Caffe Nero is a franchise you know what to expect from. This one in Braehead Shopping Mall is fully up to standard. Lots of different types of seat to suit your mood, good coffee, tasty snacks. The staff were quick to offer me assistance to carry my purchases to the table. Nice place, you know what to expect and you will get it.

Friendly staff. This is on the top floor of intuBrahead Shopping Centre. Variation of hot and cold drinks and pastry snacks. The seating areas are quite close together for my liking; this is ok if youre not looking for an intimate coffee date as quite hard to hear conversations.

31 Clarence Dr, Glasgow G12 9QN, UK – 0141 334 8834

My favourite chippy by a mile! Chips are always done perfectly and the shop offers breaded fish which is also delicious. Highly recommended

Milanos Fish, Chips & Pizzeria

21 Kelso St, Glasgow G14 0LB, UK – 0141 951 2200

Great chips nicely located friendly staff, no more to say

I would normally rate this a 5 star as the good is normally great. However I'd be putting it as a 4.5 today as the place they sourced their macaroni from for today had an unpleasant aftertaste and we could only eat 2 mouthfuls.

Sherwood Renfrew Fast Foods

56 Hairst St, Renfrew PA4 8QY, UK – 0141 886 6660

Great fish supper and pizzas are amazing. Bit of a wait on Friday night but small price to pay for fresh food

Sandwich Bars, Deliveries & Lunchtime Snack Outlets around Glasgow

St Louis Cafe Bar

734 Dumbarton Rd, Glasgow G11 6RD, UK – 0141 339 1742

Good vegan and veggie options. Quite bar-food focused (burgers, burritos, all day breakfasts), decent quality and portions for good value. They allow dogs inside and offered her some water. Waiter remembered a pretty complex order without a notepad, so props to him!

I love to go to this place for breakfast or brunch. Their eggs are delicious as is the sour dough bread. Coffee is great too. It has a really laid back and relaxed vibe that many West End eateries try and fail to achieve.

The Lismore

206 Dumbarton Rd, Glasgow G11 6UN, UK – 0141 576 0102

A really good traditional bar nothing fancy the staff are good and the locals friendly and if you like jazz visit on Tuesday afternoon

Always have a good time? Brilliant array of whiskey; good choice of beers and lagers! Live music at times, can get slightly cramped as it's very popular

The Station

2 Station Rd, Bearsden, Glasgow G61 4AN, UK – 0141 942 6752

Decent enough pub grub. My work colleagues and I go here quite regularly for lunch. The lunch deal with a drink is good value.

Good food, prices were reasonable. Dog friendly.

Knightswood Chinese

Best Chinese for miles. Karen on the phone cheers you up every time.

When I first went in I asked for advice on what to get and wasn't disappointed :)

Topwon Chinese

2 Inchinnan Rd, Renfrew PA4 8ND, UK – 0141 886 6207

Best Chinese takeaway for miles. Great food, generous portion sizes and friendly staff

Great food, good prices, but pick it up as deliveries can take some time. Its always hot when it arrives though. The salt and pepper king prawns are amazing, loads of garlic.

Indian Takeaways

Jaipur Indian Takeaway

162, Dorchester Ave, Glasgow, Kelvindale, Glasgow, Kelvindale G12 0DZ, UK – 0141 339 2255

Curry Pot Glasgow

139 Dumbarton Rd, Glasgow G11 6PR, UK – 0141 334 1549

My favorite place to eat, fantastic freshly made curry. califlour pakora is outta this world! same with the mango korma and the tarka dal, good range for vegatarians!

Amazing curries at great prices to sit in or takeaway, personally the chicken tikka masala with butter sauce is a personal favourite, never had a bad meal once, and you donโ€™t wait long

Bawarchi Indian restaurant and takeaway

995 Crow Rd, Glasgow G13 1JP, UK – 0141 954 9999

Located on the site of the former Agra Indian restaurant, the new owners have turned this into a must visit restaurant if you like high quality Indian food. I believe Bawarchi is an Indian word for 'chef' and the restaurant is aptly named. The food is flavoursome, with a generous quantity of different spices, there are none of those bright red dyes you can find in some Indian restaurants. The service is friendly and efficient and the chef makes a point of visiting your table after you have eaten to ensure you are happy with your meal. A nice touch from a lovely individual.

We have had a few visits here, with family and friends and just us. Each time has been great. Have tried a few different dishes, all have been very tasty. The garlic naan here is definitely a must! Staff are always friendly and the chef even pops out sometimes to say hello. Will definitely be back and will keep bringing friends and family.

Takeaway Food

BKK Thai Takeaway

31 Hyndland St, Glasgow G11 5QF, UK – 0141 237 3232

Cheap, consistently good, fast delivery, dishes full of flavour and fresh. No complaints

Amazing food! Fast service and nice people!

Freddies Food Club, Knightswood

2139 Great Western Rd, Glasgow G13 2XX, UK – 0141 959 1901

Mixed kebab best I've ever had ...

Always tasty food from here.

643 Dumbarton Rd, Glasgow G11 6HZ, UK – 0141 337 7077

I've had so far 3 pizzas from here and some minor sides. Pizzas are thin, well done dough, something kind of an Italian style. Nothing like thick heavy and greasy Indian pizzas. My missis would only eat this one now. Was that helpful?

Amazing food the choice is great from freshly made pizzas and pasta and not forgetting dessert cake and custard mmm
