Electrical Shops

Starlighting Electrical

23 Crow Rd, Glasgow G11 7RT, UK – 0141 337 2252

This is the best Electrical Supplier around Glasgow. I've now used them for four years. They always have the product I need and the best prices I've been able to get.

Absolutely brilliant service, the staff go beyond the extra mile and strive to ensure that any issue you may have can be sorted, they also provide links to electricians; plumbers; joiners; etc...to help with any installations - these links though have to stand on their own merit, but they don't let Starlighting Electrical down, have always had great service - many thanks for all your help.

British Heart Foundation Furniture & Electrical

467 Dumbarton Rd, Glasgow G11 6EJ, UK – 0141 413 4024

I bought a lovely brand new tv unit and consul table from this shop at a fraction of shop prices. I found the staff friendly and helpful. The shop kept it for me until my decorating was complete and delivery went smoothly.

Love a BHF furniture store. Most of my furniture is from here.

Currys PC World featuring Carphone Warehouse

G, 130-136 Kings Inch Dr, Glasgow G51 4BT, UK – 0344 561 0000

This is one of the larger stores, with a vast car park with well marked disabled spaces. Wide open aisles and easy access to most electrical equipment and white goods for the home. Easy to spend anything from £5 for earphones to £5K for a TV that can be watched by your neighbours. The sales staff seem to be very knowledgeable and in the main prepared to leave you alone until you call for their attendance. One small niggle about the lay out of display goods. Recently I was searching for a laptop. It was difficult in the wheelchair as all the stock was displayed on counters about 900mm high. That is very close to head height in the chair which means it’s very difficult to to read prices and and performance details.

The mothership Curry's store. I do like visiting this branch as it has a full range of products and walking around is very much a day out in itself. One thing that lets it down is the hard selling from many reps. I can't help but feel harassed by some sales reps who are obviously working commission.
